Loughton is a town with a population of around 30,000 people located in the Epping Forest district of Essex.
Just 12 miles northeast of Charing Cross in London, Loughton is a lovely town with an impressive 56 listed building and 3 conservation areas too.

Once a scattered collection of farmsteads in the Epping Forest, Loughton first grew to prominence in the 17th Century when the high road was extended north through the forest and the town found itself on the main route between London and Cambridge/East Anglia making it an important coachstop.
Following the expansion of the railway, Loughton became a favourite choice for the middle calss city workers too.
